French Drains
A French drain is a trench filled with a perforated pipe and gravel that allows water to drain naturally from your yard. They can be used along retaining walls or near foundations to keep water from going into basements.
Channel Drains
A trench drain or channel drain is used for the rapid evacuation of water to be redirected else where on the property. Channel drains are often used adjacent to solid and impervious surfaces where water runoff is a problem.
Catch Basins
Catch basin drains can be installed in areas where standing water is prevelant during and after rainfalls. These drains can handle a higher volume of water intake. The water is then redirected underground to another part of the property.
Dry Wells
Dry wells or alternatively called flo-wells reduce the amount of stormwater runoff and pollutants leaving your property. Downspouts or other drains can feed into the dry well, where the water slowly seeps out of the dry well back into the ground.
Downspout / Sump Pump Burying & Extensions
Avoid water seeping into your building foundation by have your downspout and sump pump outlets extended away from your building. Extensions will be buried underground and water will be redirected a safe distance away from your foundation.
Yard Grading
A basic principle of stormwater management is proper ground grading to carry water runoff away from structures and avoid ponding. This is done by removing or adding soil to achieve the proper pitch. This is finished by seeding or sodding the area after a correct grade is achieved.
